Reading Psalms...

Since I've hit my first interval of friction (in this case just not reading at the pace I need to to finish at my goal) this post will chronicle the reading of single books; for now the Book of Psalms (i.e. there's incentive created when I have a post up to record progress).

"Oh, but we've seen you use bad language..."

Well pilgrim, if you've been mocked as much as I have by the church types regarding reading of the Word of God complete you'd start using harsh language too. The fact is: in the world I'm surrounding by devil shit. I get around the visible church realm and lo and behold it's got the same devil shit inside it. Disappointing? A little. Though I was well aware of all the inanity in the visible churches at this point in the history of redemption. I have to admit I was genuinely surprised at the level of clueless shit in the camp of Calvinists. Whether they're the neo-orthodox devils or they're the so-called orthodox types. Get a real Christian into their environment and they all turn into mocking devils. (It never seems to dawn on them that when they are engaged in pack-like behaviour against an individual that it convicts them. This doesn't wake them up. They don't want to wake up. They're very comfortable in the devil's kingdom. When a person comes around that disturbs their comfortable existence it angers them. They don't want to even have to think about the devil's kingdom they currently reside in...

Here's what convicts you wet-nosed fools: when I write on the difference between self-will and God's will (a subject central to God's teaching and that you church and seminary fools never even knew existed) you keep silence, even to criticize. (You don't criticize because you know it's on-the-mark, but your silence is one of petulance in not wanting to admit there are things about the Word of God that you have no clue about. To maintain your status as 'teachers' you can't admit this. Your motivation is purely shallow, devilish vanity and worldly pride. You have no real interest in actually learning and increasing understanding of God's Word. You convict yourselves.

Other similar themes and subjects I've brought up are the same. And if you do speak up it's only to mock like the most worthless, shallow fools one can find in any bar or frat house.

This is what passes for 'orthodox' Christians. Backslapping mindlessness and pack-attacks on individuals who who are 'outsiders'. What the fuck do you think a Christian is but an outsider? A stranger? See how you convict your shallow, worthless souls?

I remember talking of vanity and worldly pride and self-will generally when talking of the doctrines of grace and Eric Swendsen, red-faced at the limit of his inane, seminary-boy patience, said: "Nobody thinks of the five points in those terms!"

Exactly, seminary boy. You should have just said: "We're clueless about that!"

When you can't see the doctrines of grace at the practical, experimental level you can't see the doctrines of grace. If all they remain to you is theory or philosophy you are still in the devil's territory and you are guaranteed to wobble off the straight and narrow at some point if you havn't already.

Swendsen himself was in the process of announcing himself a 4.5 point Calvinist. The usual lukewarm, vain confusion one sees in all of the visible church's self-appointed 'teachers'. (No, pilgrim, seminaries don't appoint you as a teacher of God's Word, and church leaders don't appoint you a teacher of God's Word, the Holy Spirit appoints you a teacher of God's Word, if you have it in you.
