Observations on the Way

Frank Turk is currently a blizzard of self-justifying (and that salesman in him is looking more and more sinister)... He just needs to realize he can be right all he wants regarding the iMonk, but he's still a detour critiquing a stumblingblock. The main thing for him (and the iMonk) is to get back on the Way. And to find it in themselves to walk through the Wicket Gate. I currently see Carla looking that Wicket Gate over...looking at its design- oop, she touched it and it swung open a little... Careful! the devil sees you, and he's got arrows... Walk through or run back, but don't just stand there...

Carla is here:

http://carla_rolfe.blogspot.com/

She's a hardcore Calvinist (though doesn't like being called a Calvinist so maybe she's not REAL hardcore) with a big family, and I don't know why I use her name as a foil, but I do. Everytime she makes a reference to "potty mouthed" bloggers I think she's referring to me... I actually don't think she is as fully ensconsed in the Village of Morality as some of the others that get mentioned... In fact I think I put her real close to the Wicket Gate itself...

If you did comment on her blog I'd be surprised if she responded. She doesn't seem to respond much to anybody. I think she is busy with her seven kids... As a blogger and internet presence she's an engaging personality...

If I write any more about her I'll be up on stalking charges, so I'd better stop...

As for the readability of these blogs, I think once you get a sense of each of the players it's easier to see what's going on at a glance, so to speak...

>It just sounds to me like arguing about arguing about arguing

This is one aspect of it all. Theology is one of the few cornucopia subjects on the internet that interests people enough to be able to talk and argue all day for weeks, months, and years and lifetimes. It never runs dry.

Yet the fact is doctrine matters, and on-the-mark doctrine can be found, elucidated, and defended -- and needs to be.

They're all kinds of forces that want to defile on-the-mark biblical doctrine one way or another, to one degree or another, crudely or subtly, from outside the tent or from inside the tent, with one motivation or another or a thousand.

A wildcard card in all this is it requires regeneration to even be ABLE to 'see' on-the-mark biblical doctrine, so alot of what you see in the arguments is the blind clubbing the blind.

And the few who can see the truth can only talk like a teacher who is repeating the same lesson over and over for the billionth time. A necessary effort for the few who are seeking and are able to find the truth. Also a necessary effort to mainstain the integrity of the truth as it resides in the general universe of discourse...

The hardcore difference between Christians is the Wicket Gate: it separates Christians who are on the Way proper from Christians who have yet to take that step...

Christians who are on the Way proper are strange presences in the environments of the Christians who have yet to take that step...

Anonymous is one of the voices of the devil. He loves to lie, and he has no interest in the Faith.

A hellish existence anonymous leads, and a hellish future awaits him...

I guess with people like Zarqawi out there blowing up hospitals and putting explosives in toys I should be less promiscuous with the devil word...

Why do you think I would want fans, as you put it?
