"Have fun in hell, witch."

By their fruits ye shall know them.

Oh, if you can't take it stop mocking Christians who commit the grave sin of valuing the traditional text and the AV1611...and take exception to the mutilation of the Word of God. Check your own fruits, pilgrim...

For the record my battle with the Whites of the internet world began when I got plastered with mocking the first time I wrote a post about how I approach the Bible in terms of complete readings. I was an innocent regarding how malevolent the seminary types were towards Christians who have an innocent approach to the faith. It's because they get convicted by their own shallowness. So be it. They're juvenile and shallow, that's not my problem. I didn't force them to play video games (or the equivalent activity for their era) their entire formative years...

Friend, you're the one who has not learned to tame his tongue, and what's more seems to think it's a good witness to the world. You're the one who has consigned James White and the rest of us to hell and called him a witch. Nice.

I was under the impression that "He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life", but I guess Jesus should have added "and readeth one particular seventeenth century translation."

Now, I normally use the NKJV, but I suppose that just being TR-based is not good enough.

This is what is being talked about. Hearing His Word. All of His Word. Not mutilated, corrupt versions of His Word.

If the devil has his way all of that Word will be so corrupted none of it will be effective toward regenerating souls. The devil engineered an epochal victory for the corruption of the Word of God in the 19th century, and he's busily been exploiting it ever since. The campaign is ongoing. Each incremental degree of it causes minor queasiness, even from the most enthusiastic workers (one degree is the divinity of Christ, here and there, another is gender reference, another the trinity, another references to spiritual practices, another...), but at each step everybody backs down and forgets and because the fear of man is stronger than the fear of God the devil has his way. And in amidst it all is the mocking and denouncing of anybody who raises the alarm. Even books are written, quickly, to denounce and mock the watchman sounding the alarm for the defense of the Word of God and the faith itself.

The devil's followers will always say: "Oh, but, a person can be saved nevertheless by reading a bible that is not pure and whole!" Yes, the devil will continually say this (as if this itself is "ok"), all the way to the point where his defilement of the sacred text is complete.
