Atheists are feeling the swelling spirit of the devil in these times we live in; it's making them brave (but no less shallow)

JOHN (responding to an atheist):

"But that's all a distraction, anyhow, for you never did answer about Stalin. Or Lenin. Or Trotsky, Mao, Ho Chi Min, Robespierre, the Paris Comunards, the homocidal regimes of eastern Germany and communist Romania, the anticlerical killers from the Mexican Revolution and Spanish Revolution. All the other folks who, after liberating people from the shackles of religion, proceeded to kill them by the thousands and millions. Like I said, when you have a near total correlation, causation becomes a moot point.

And yet there is a causation. All the killers of the modern age sought to transform their societies in a non-religious context. All of them used a utilitarian "greater good" rationalization unchecked by any sense of value found in human life mandated by Christian teachings. In short, they all killed to create an earthly paradise in lieu of a Heavenly one."

ME (writing to John):
John, your writing is a bit above the level of Ent. the Atheist.

Atheists in general are shallow. When you make the denial of anything metaphysical a mark of intelligence you are deathly shallow.

I often like to ask atheists what their favorite books are. They can't help but expose their shallowness in answering that question. Ask them what their favorite composers are. They have to fearfully avoid the names Bach, Handel, Palestrina, et al... Artists? They'll pass on that. Scientists? They love the current crowd of politically-correct little 'afraid of losing their grants' suck-ups to the leftist thought-police. But all the Christian scientists just since the Reformation they are a bit hazy about. Can't recollect them very well. Shoulders, standing on, all that...it's a blank spot in their minds.

ct,

Please share the whole conversation between John and the atheist. Perhaps you have, and I just missed it. I am very interested.

Thanks,

Joe

I just looked through the thread. It's a LiveLeak thread with many commenting. John contributed a handful of comments, but his main points were in the one I posted. The atheist he was talking to is a troll type atheist, so a lot of the back and forth is John being called a 'retard' and such. For my part I have to confess I get as bad as the atheists with my language. I allow them to push me to where I'm throwing them in hell in various ways. I use pretty bad language too. The video the thread is under is here:

John doesn't enter until page 3 of the thread. He's got the yellow, Don't Tread On Me avatar (as least as I write this).

Who cares who killed more people anyway? If atheism is true, morality is an illusion. Atheists who claim to believe in morals are being inconsistent, since they do believe in something transcendent with respect to matter, so refuting one of these does not help your case. That atheists killed more people is no evidence for God's existence, unless you are all liberals arguing for a pragmatic justification for Christianity (Schaeffer's upper story leap).

And what the heck do Bach and Handel have to do with anything? If Christians are able to cultivate refined aesthetic tastes, this says nothing about metaphysical realities. It's just an interesting footnote as to how evolution plays itself out in individuals afflicted with the God delusion.

You do, atheist. That's why you live among Christians in a Christian culture and civilization. Your whole schtick is based on being a juvenile parasite on Christians who protect you from the godless world you claim to be indifferent to.

Better than being evolution's dupe. Wake up from the Matrix and smell the nihilism. Morality is fake. The only reason you believe in it is because it confers a selective advantage. I benefit from that, but I can't help being awakened from the Matrix now, can I, O purveyor of Blue Pills.

If there is no metaphysical reality in music then a computer could compose a great symphony. Doesn't work that way, though, does it, thnuh thnuh? (But here is where the shallowness of the atheist armors them: the atheist isn't even able to discern level of influence in a work of music. A great, inspired work by Bach to them is the same as what a computer program could turn out. Muse, inspiration, general revelation, Holy Spirit, language and power that comes from above, the atheist's shallowness cuts them off from it. They are hollow souls filled with the spirit of the devil, being very predictable.

Moralism is what atheists/leftists engage in. And yes it is very relative (fake, to use your word).

Natural law is not relative. It comes from the Word of God. I.e. thnuh thnuh knows when he is doing something wrong...
