Tactic for containing the heart

This is from Matthew Henry's Commentary:

"When men unjustly censure us and quarrel with us, it will be a great relief to us to go to God, and by prayer lay the case before him and leave it with him: if men will not hear us, God will; if their bad conduct towards us ruffle our spirits, God's consolations will compose them."

This is when the Israelites were giving Moses problems. Earlier in the passage Henry says you can't meet false witness and accusation and attacks and so forth with an emotional response. A soft answer and all that. But then just do what the above passage says. Take the case to God. He sees everything. He knows the truth in all matters. We're not alone. God sees all.
