A new angle of attack by the Romanists in Reformed clothing

Reformed Infant baptists have produced libraries of garbage biblical doctrine to defend their Romanist ritual of infant baptism. (I'm a low church, Puritan baptist, for the record. You don't have to be like me, just don't think you're regenerated because someone sprinkled water on you or dunked you in water.)

Their latest (I suspect it's new, maybe it's been around and I just haven't seen it) is to say National Israel was a type of Adam in the Garden.

It's common to see National Israel as being a prototype of Jesus. The parallels are numerous. Two big ones are both National Israel and Jesus went down into Egypt. Another is National Israel was tested for 40 years in the desert; Jesus was tested for 40 days in the desert. I use to have a list of the numerous parallels, but I lost it, anyway...

This has to do with the republication of the Covenant of Works on Sinai. Those laws were republished (in elaborated form) to National Israel, yet also to National Israel as a prototype of the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ.

The reason the Romanists in the Reformed camp want to say National Israel was a type of Adam rather than a prototype of Jesus is because it neuters the laws on Sinai (the Mosaic Covenant) as being anything special, hence they can continue to say that the Abrahamic Covenant is the real 'Old Covenant' spoken of in the New Testament.

In the byzantine defense lawyerism that these Romanists in Reformed clothing have been engaging in since the Reformation to save their precious doctrine of infant baptism they have to be able to say the Abrahamic Covenant is the Old Covenant rather than the Mosaic Covenant being the Old Covenant. (At this point their garbage ad hoc doctrine is in such a mess that they don't even really follow it closely. They really just want to gum up the works further and further to protect infant baptism, and why...?)

Why this effort to protect infant baptism? Because regeneration is the main thing, and Satan knows regeneration is effected, when it is effected, by the word of God and the Holy Spirit, not by man and ritual. The Roman Catholic church called people to ritual water baptism all day and all night but kept people away from the word of God on penalty of torture and execution. Satan knows what regenerates. The Romanists in Reformed clothing as well know what regenerates, and it is not man and ritual.

This is something that goes deep to Satan's infiltration of the church in general.

Why is this even an issue in the 21st century? Because, in their unique context of being in the midst of a war Luther and Calvin kept too much of the grease and fat of Romanism on their plate. Zwingli didn't - at first - but was convinced to keep it for the sake of the war. His early death may have been as a result of his decision.

Satan always looks for such a misstep in such pregnant times that are going against him, and then he exploits the misstep to the hilt.

Yet God always has a remnant, and God's remnant sees the truth.

Satan knows that if people think ritual baptism regenerates then they will live in self-delusion. Right where he wants them.

Remember: Infant baptists believe in baptismal regeneration. Even if they deny it they really secretly do. It goes like this: Roman Catholics bring baptismal regeneration in through the front door in broad daylight. Lutherans bring baptismal regeneration in through the front door at night. Reformed paedo (infant) baptists bring baptismal regeneration in through the back door in the dead of night.

All three groups want to deny God sovereignty in grace. They'll grant God His sovereignty in creation and providence, but they'll stop short of granting God His sovereignty in grace. That's a bit too much for these unregenerate humans to grant to God. They keep grace for man and ritual.
