Important to remember

One thing we as Christians are subtly made to be dissuaded from doing is emulating Jesus. We get subtly mocked for the very notion. Yet this is what the Bible teaches.

It is a powerful point of reference in real time, real life to have Jesus in our mind as the model to emulate.

A good book to get a good dose of impressions of Jesus is Christ's Glorious Achievements by Charles Spurgeon.

It depends who you read/listen too. Recently I came across a pastor named Paul Washer, if you haven't already done so listen to a few of his sermons on YouTube.

I just finished listening to this sermon, he’s preaching in Norway. If you go to 52:30 and listen for a bit or listen to the whole sermon.

In this sermon to a room full of theologian’s he mentions Spurgeon, and being like Jesus Christ. It’s long but this sermon gives you a good dose of the depth and breadth of his understanding.
