A note of concern regarding e-books

E-books are convenient and on the surface seem OK, but I've just had a shock with one of them. I'm reading a classic work (I don't want to say which because I'm truly reading it, and I want to keep the project to myself until I finish it), and this time I'm reading it in actual physical book form. A well-made hard back book.

But I have a Kindle reader that is good for reading outside in the sun, so I downloaded an e-book edition of this classic work onto it and found where I was in the book and lo and behold right at that place I noticed the e-book version was very different from my physical book version. The e-book version was missing about three pages of text. To make sure I compared with another physical book edition of the work, and yes, it was the e-book version that was corrupt.

What is even more bothersome about this is the corruption of the e-book version just happened to be found right where I was currently reading in the classic work. What are the odds? It actually probably means there are numerous corruptions in the e-book edition. (And the corruption wasn't obvious. It was between paragraphs.)

This is something we don't want to think about. Like buying fast food. We want to assume it's OK. Yet there are no paid editors pouring over e-book editions to make sure they are correct and then to make sure they render correctly. They obviously are generally just thrown together relying on the software to get it right, and assuming the file is correct to begin with.

What to do? Abandon all e-book versions? I think not. I think it's OK to read them for certain types of books. Also, e-books produced by the same publisher of the physical version are probably superior products (yeah, sure, let's go with that), but for absolute classic works I might as a rule opt for a good physical edition of the book. Just to be sure.

Corona virus figured out

[Originally an email.]

Ok, I've figured out the Corona virus events.

It's actually not difficult to see.

This is a world cabal false flag. Bill Gates and usual suspects were war gaming a Corona pandemic months prior to the 'pandemic.' This is what happens with school shootings.

Anyway, it was never anything more than a novel, or unique flu virus. But it served different purposes.

Remember all the dystopian apocalypse scenes from Wuhan? People being wrestled out of apartments, shot in streets, etc.? That was the Chinese Communist Party getting rid of targeted political enemies or undesirables using the virus as cover. Nothing more. They weren't sick. Once they rounded up who they wanted to round up notice the plague ended? No more virus.

This is also playing out in Iran, another authoritarian police state. High level ministers were probably targeted for internal political reasons.

What is happening in Italy I believe is just cabal deception. Italy got wrestled away from Salvini and back into the cabal, so it's role in this false flag is to make the virus seem more deadly than it is. Faked death numbers.

Does this virus kill? Yes, though just as the regular flu kills, especially old and infirm people.

Now, the real purpose of the false flag virus is to harm the world economy and to harm Trump such that he doesn't get re-elected. This involves the use of main stream media and Hollywood. Isn't it a joke that all these celebrities are coming down with it?

This aspect of the false flag is failing I believe. Trump's numbers are not going down, and they seem to have not timed it all well. We are far from the November elections. They probably thought the virus would take more time to propagate beyond China. They most likely wanted all this chaos to happen in late summer or even the fall. As it is there is now even time for the wounded economy to recover and roar into November.

But it's all an example that the cabal will do anything to protect itself. Since they are able to effect the world like this it is a sign that Satan is putting his influence behind it. So it's biblical. It's spiritual war. Prayer will be effective. Faith. Etc.

A short note on a big subject

I just read a guy who is not a Christian string a wild bunch of facts and semi-facts about God, the Bible, Jews, conspiracies, Egypt, Satan, Saturn, ancient Rome, and the Vatican, and a half dozen other things together, and it made me think: there's practical worth in just putting ourselves under the shield of Jesus and just faithfully residing there as we ride out this storm of illusion and delusion this life is infected with. I mean, we made it here; and it is our greatest advantage and power; and it's gracefully plain and simple.

Our heart, our heart...

One of the problems of being human in linear time is we have to hold a multitude of information in our mind at the same time. Or we think we do. Or, it seems like we have to. I mean, are we supposed to just forget all the great insights and breakthroughs of understanding we get in our general development? Learn it today, forget it tomorrow? But we can't hold such things in our mind.

I think they have to go to our heart. When they reside there they change us on their own.

We may not remember why we are no longer upset about a certain thing. Prior at some time we came into understanding of the thing. When you understand something you tend to no longer be disagreeable regarding it. That doesn't mean you agree with it or like it, but just that you are no longer mechanically disagreeable about it.

I think these types of insights and understandings have to go to our heart and reside there.

When we then think about our development as human beings or as Christians we can then sort of think of our heart. Our heart in the biblical sense. All that we are. All that God sees in us.

We can think of our heart and ask is my heart OK? Am I carrying a lot of anger about things? Or do I understand those things. Based on biblical truth. Ultimately.

Think of our heart as a mountain pool. It can be clear, or it can be all roiled up with the sediment at the bottom making the water dark and chaotic. If it's clear with the sunlight bouncing off it we are in a good state. We can kind of feel that. We can feel the darkness and chaos too when it's there.

Over all, though, God sees the state of our mountain pool in its average state. Do we have a heart acceptable to God? He lets us know His standards. He's had them written down and put in a Book.

We can't fake our heart. Not to God. To be in His Kingdom we have to have a true heart based on God's standards of truth. We have to value what God values, based on his Book. There's no faking our way into the Kingdom of God.

So we can sit back and take inventory and sort of feel how are heart is. A heart for God or a heart for the world...or a heart for the Devil?

The Paradigm by Jonathan Cahn

[This was originally an email.]

I mentioned I know of some smart Twitter accounts. One of them retweeted a thread by another person that was impressive. It was showing how our time in western civilization was strikingly analogous to a time depicted in the Book of Kings. And the same way you guys focus on America this parallel works best with America though it's like all of western Europe and the English speaking countries follow along, but America is the central player in the drama.

It depicts how Israel fell away from God and then went into a quickening of that fall. How sex became public, how gender left its boundaries, how truth became relative, how good became evil and evil became good, how child sacrifice became religion, and how all this which use to be only at the margins became part of the mainstream of power and culture, and then even enforced by law.

This quickening began in Israel with King Ahab. For us it started in the 1990s with the Clintons. (But the beginning of it in general began in the middle of the 20th century.)

The paralells are more than just bizarrely analogous. They are kind of what Q has been doing. They parallel to exact dates and sometimes times of day. I now suspect Q is operating from a similar paradigm in the Bible nobody has picked up on yet. Like a template that goes into micro detail of what is seen at a macro level in the Book of Kings.

So immediately in the comments people started responding that the thread is repeating what a book published in 2017 put forth. The Paradigm by Jonathan Cahn, a Christian though a Messianic Jew.

I looked the book up and found that it is a real comfort for the soul. It doesn't lessen the pain of seeing all the evil that is manifesting, but by showing via the Bible that there is nothing new under the sun it takes much of the confusion away.

A note on Cahn: books he wrote prior to the Paradigm are maybe not worth getting. What he's written after the Paradigm may be a bit of cashing in because the Paradigm was a bestseller. He hit a grand slam with the Paradigm.

Also, reviews of the book are not useful. Atheist types are threatened by it but so are establisment Christian types. Both show tremendous ignorance too in their reviews.

Seeing how Hillary corresponds to Jezebel is remarkable. How Trump corresponds to Jehu. How 9/11 is connected to Clinton publicly repenting for the Lewinsky scandal and how God's punishment would biblically come in three years after the repentence. Clinton repented in public on the morning of September 11, 1998. What happened exactly three years later, in the morning?

The Paradigm, by Jonathan Cahn. The parallels are not confirmation bias. You have to read it to see why. It's a page-turner too.

Really basic level worldview material

At Amazon on Kindle there's a book titled Handbook on World Views by Norman Geisler. It's $5.99.

I know Geisler is not a Calvinist and all that, but this particular book is not effected by that.

It is very basic. Just seven chapters based on types of religions. Theism, Deism, Atheism, Finite Godism, Pantheism, Panentheism, Polytheism.

What intrigues me about the book is even though its pretty much a run-through of the basics, sometimes the basics can give you very deep impressions.

For instance I could see in these chapters deep impressions of the Kingdom of Satan. Not so much the bloody hell of it, but more the illusions it casts. I could see it in works of art and literature too. The lure of the false religions. I guess mostly in the three that begin with 'P' listed above.

Deep in the foundation of western civilization are the Homeric epics and Greek myth in general with all of its variant on polytheism. I.e. we don't just get that as a fairly recent import from the east.

Calvinists were dealing with such things from the Native Americans they were in conflict with in the dark, antedeluvian-like forests of the New World...
